What concepts from this semester related to the readings are you inspired by? Why are you inspired by them?
What questions / relationships do you want to explore in your final project?
What do you want to make?
How will you experiment with materials/mediums?
Are you going to work individually or collaboratively?
For this project, I'm going to work individually. I was inspired by our first reading: Allan Sekula's the body and the archive. I was interested in his discussion on archive, and the relationship between reality and virtuality. Then I was inspired by something discussed in my writing class that photography is definitely covering something for people to see, especially what is happening to the natural world and the ecosystem isn't exposed to us, people are living in a fantasy constructed by the authority that we have enough natural resources to spend. I was inspired by an artist named Jack Henry, he reflected the contamination by human waste. I want to make a small group of installation by using resin to reflect the environmental problem the world is going through right now.
